- Last year wasn’t a success for FC Dynamo Kyiv.

- I don’t. Still I know that I adore football since early childhood.
- Did you dream of becoming football player since childhood?
- I did. I can’t imagine myself without football.

- I never played as defender.
- Which match is the most memorable for you?
- It’s difficult to choose one game.
- Who was your idol when you were a kid?
- It was Andriy Shevchenko. I tried to take colour from him.
- What team did you support when a schoolboy?
- I supported FC Dynamo Kyiv.
- Do you remember the first football match you attended?
- In 2000 parents took me to Kyiv to watch the game between FC Dynamo Kyiv and FC Vorskla Poltava. The White-Blues won the game by three goals to nil.
- Did you attend matches in Chernihiv?
- I did. It was interesting to follow professionals’ play.
- What was the first piece of football stuff in your collection?
- It was Real Madrid shirt.
- Was there Ukrainian player in 1990th you tried to model yourself on?
- It was Andriy Shevchenko.
- Do you have any famous players’ autographs?
- I don’t.
- Weren’t you afraid of moving to Kyiv from Chernihiv?
- I wasn’t. I knew what team I was going to perform for. At first it was difficult, but later I started featuring for Dynamo-2.
- How large was your first salary?
- I got 300 hryvnias playing for FC Desna Chernihiv.
- How did you spend your money?
- I gave my parents half of the salary and bought some sweet stuff.
- What present did you make for your first coach when you signed a contract with FC Dynamo Kyiv?
- There were no great presents. Anyway I still keep in touch with Viktor Lazorenko.
- Was your debut in the UPL memorable for you?
- It’s unforgettable. I made a substitute appearance against FC Vorskla Poltava and scored.
- What reminds you of that game?
- A shirt.
- Do you remember when you signed your first autograph?
- I don’t.
- What was the most unusual thing fans asked you to sign?
- Some girls asked to sign their…breast.
- Naked breast?
- Of course! (Laughing). I refused to do that.
- When did you get your nickname?
- They started calling me Yarmola when I was a kid.
- There’s another nickname, invented by ex-Dynamo head coach Anatoliy Demianenko. Do you remember it?
- (Smiling)It’s “boy from 130th kilometer”.
- Demianenko predicted your football future…
- I guess so.
- What was the most absurd information you read about your self?
- I read that I was going to join FC Shakhtar Donetsk.
- Did you ever change your telephone number because of intrusive fans?
- I didn’t.
- What cellphones do you prefer?
- I’m using iphone.
- Do you remember your first game for Ukraine national team?
- I do! It was a home match against Andorra.
