He turns 39. Maksim spent 10 years with our team (1999-2009), made 228 appearances and scored 142 goals. He was the best striker in the history of Ukrainian league, won the domestic title, national cup and Super Cup many times.
In 2015 Shatskikh took coaching course and got the diploma which let him work as head coach in the 1st and 2nd league or assistant coach in Premier League.
In 2016 Maksim was hired by Dynamo football school named after Valeriy Lobanovskyi. In 2016 he became Dynamo U-19 assistant coach and in a year – the White-Blues first team assistant coach.
Shatskikh celebrates his birthday in family circle:
- I don’t plan anything special. I’m spending this day at home with my wife and daughters. They’ve made posters, greeting cards etc. So, the atmosphere is really festive!
The team will gather tomorrow. On Saturday we’ll play a friendly against FC Dinamo Brest.
