Ukraine head coach Oleh Blohin has named a 23-man squad for the upcoming friendlies against Uzbekistan and France on 1 and 6 June, respectively.
Dynamo Kyiv goalkeeper Maksym Koval is hoping to be handed his international debut after being included in Ukraine squad for the upcoming double header of games. Maksym has also been named in the Ukraine Under-19 squad and is expected to take part in the European Under-19 Championship elite round matches against Italy, Ireland and Poland from 24th till 29th May in Poland before joining up with the seniors.
Dynamo players Oleh Husyev, Artem Milevskyy and Andriy Shevchenko are also in Oleh Blokhin’s roster.
Ukraine will face Uzbekistan at the Valeriy Lobanovskyy stadium in Kyiv on Wednesday, June 1 (kick-off at 9pm) and France at the Donbas Arena in Donetsk five days later (kick-off at 10pm).
Goalkeepers: Andriy Pyatov (FC Shakhtar Donetsk), Andriy Dykan (PFC Spartak Moskva), Maksym Koval (FC Dynamo Kyiv).
Defenders: Oleksandr Kucher, Mykola Ishchenko, Vyacheslav Shevchuk, Vasyl Kobin (all from Shakhtar), Andriy Rusol, Vitaliy Mandzyuk (both from FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk), Artem Fedetskyy (FC Karpaty Lviv).
Midfielders: Oleh Husyev (Dynamo), Ruslan Rotan, Serhiy Nazarenko, Serhiy Kravchenko (all from Dnipro), Ihor Khudobyak, Denys Kozhanov (both from Karpaty), Denys Oliynyk (FC Metalist Kharkiv), Anatoliy Tymoshchuk (FC Bayern Munich, Germany).
Forwards: Andriy Shevchenko, Artem Milevskyy (both from Dynamo), Marco Dević (Metalist), Yevhen Seleznyov (Dnipro), Andriy Voronin (FC Dinamo Moskva, Russia).
Dynamo defender Serhiy Lyulka and midfielder Serhiy Rybalka have been called up to Ukraine Under-21 so-called second string squad for friendlies against their Iranian and French coevals. Oleh Kuznetsov’s side faces Iran at the Obolon-Arena on Wednesday, June 1 (kick-off at 6pm) before hosting the tricolores at Valeriy Lobanovskyy stadium on Sunday, June 5 (kick-off at 9.45pm).
