UPL. Mariupol – Dynamo – 0:1. Report

The White-Blues approached this fixture with significant lineup problems. Five players couldn’t take the field due to suspension – Tamas Kadar, Tomasz Kedziora, Denys Harmash, Vitaliy Buialskyi and Mykola Shaparenko.

Dynamo took the game under control at once, but started creating chances only halfway through the first half. Mariupol also had some promising attacks.

Before the break home side keeper Khudzhamov parried the shot by Sidcley from outside the box and coped with the attempt by Mykolenko.

Generally there was a lot of uncompromising scrimmage and emotions in the first half.

Early in the second half Sydorchuk attempted from distance and Boriachuk failed to put Mariupol in front in one-on-one situation.

The key episode happened 73 minutes into the match. Viktor Tsyhankov netted the ball after great cross from Vitaliy Mykolenko.

Another significant event was the debut of two Dynamo trainees for the first team. 20-year-old centre back Denys Popov was in the starting lineup while 18-year-old striker Yevhen Isayenko made a substitute appearance 70 minutes into the game.
