About Cristiano Ronaldo
- Ronaldo is a true professional. He comes to training sessions earlier to have a warm-up. Even after two training sessions he can have a third one. He works on his body and cares about his physical conditions.
About his car in Kyiv (Mitshubishi Lancer)
- Sometimes teammates make fun of my car, but I don’t care as it has four wheels which is enough to get from one place to another.
About Yuri Semin
- Semin invited me to the team, but I worked only for two months with him. He had personal approach to players.
About Oleh Blokhin
- He has his own vision of the game. We tried to do what he told us.
About language studying
- I had three lessons of Russian, but when I saw the alphabet I decided I wouldn’t continue.
About domestic title and Serhiy Rebrov
- Rebrov and Raul took charge of the team last year. We had good players before, but we lacked good organization. It’s very important to me that we defeated Shakhtar. They have a lot of high profile performers, but so do we.
About situation in Ukraine
- There’s nothing we can do about the situation in the country. A lot of good players have left. My first year in Ukraine was calm, but in December of 2013 it all started. Unfortunately all countries go through that. Everything was on fire. I came to Maidan and saw that myself. Mother told me I should return home, but I becalmed her. Unity of the nation has amazed me in Ukraine.
About interest of other clubs
- I had transfer offers from Italy. Still me and my wife decided to stay in Ukraine. At the moment I don’t think about future.
