We’d like to congratulate this great person who worked for his native club for several decades.
Mykhailo Koman’s life is connected with Dynamo Kyiv inseparably.
His career started as he faced Dynamo being the player of FC Zakarpattia Uzhhorod on October 20, 1948. “At that time we had a good team. We even opened the score in that Ukrainian Cup final, but still we lost that game 2:1”.
Never the less the talented striker was spotted by Dynamo coaches and soon he moved to Kyiv.
Koman’s big time was in 1954 when he grabbed the winner against FC Spartek Yerevan in the USSR Cup final. “It seemed that all Kyiv citizens came to meet us at the railway station. There were a lot of flowers, smiles and applause…”
Mykhailo Koman had to finish his career because of heart muscle blockage. After that he worked as Dynamo assistant coach and football Academy director.
Koman is also a very gifted talents scout. Such players as Vasyl Turianchyk, Fedor Medvid, Yozhef Sabo, Volodymyr Myntian, Yevhen Rudakov, Volodymyr Veremeev, Leonid Buriak, and Oleh Luzhnyi came to Dynamo due to him.
In 2004 Mykhailo Koman was awarded with the Order of Merit of the second class.
Mykhailo Mykhailovych, thank You for everything You have done for FC Dynamo Kyiv!
