“I went in for football in the small town called Yahotyn located in Kyiv region. When I was 13 my coach took me to Kyiv to undergo a trial at Republican sports school. Three years later I joined DynamoAcademy. After graduation I featured for Dynamo U-19 and reserve team”.
About idols and examples to follow:
“Carles Puyol has always been my idol. Speaking about Dynamo players, that was Taras Mykhalyk”.
About the most dangerous opponent:
“It was really difficult to oppose Douglas Costa from FC Shakhtar Donetsk. He caused me a lot of problems”.
About qualities vital for good defender:
“I think defender must be uncompromising. Even if he’s a wing back he must play well for defense first of all”.
About his favourite position:
“I’ve already played as left and right lateral, but it’s more comfortable for me to be a centre back. Still position doesn’t matter. It’s really important for me to play for this club main squad”.
