Nikita KORZUN: “I’ll try to adapt to the team as quickly as possible”

- It’s a great honor to join such famous club, so I experience only positive emotions. I’m happy to sign a contract with FC Dynamo Kyiv.

- Weren’t you supposed to stay with FC Dinamo Minsk till summer?

- I was, but presidents of both clubs found a compromise. I’m thankful to FC Dinamo Minsk for letting me go.

- Have you been to Kyiv before?

- Once I was here with Belarus youth team for friendly tournament and one more time – with the club youth team.

- League format in Ukraine is spring-autumn while in Belarus – autumn-spring. Won’t it be difficult for you to get accustomed?

- It doesn’t matter as I’m in good conditions and I’m ready to play.

- In 2013 you had serious injury. What happened?

- We played in the rain, I slipped and heard rustle in my knee. I went to Italy where MRT showed I tore crucial ligament. Still in four and a half months I was able to play. I’m thankful to FC Dinamo Minsk president Yuri Chizh, who helped me a lot.

- You were first team regular in your former club. Do you count on that in Kyiv?

- I’ll do the best I can and then coach will decide. I’ll work hard at every training session to use my chance. I have euro cups and domestic league experience. We’ll see what happens.

- What’s your favorite position and on what position can you play if necessary?

- I’m supporting midfielder, but if necessary I’ll play where coach tells me to. I guess I can feature on any position in the midfield.

- What can you say about your fitness after training camp with FC Dinamo Minsk?

- After New Year I worked individually and then took part in friendly tournament with Belarus youth team. I’ve had tests, so I’m fine.

- Did you follow FC Dynamo Kyiv Champions League matches?

- Sure! There’s nothing strange about that. They follow this team all over the world.

- You competitors in struggle for starting spot are Rybalka, Miguel, Petrovic… What do you know about them?

- They are top level performers and I’ll try to learn a lot from them as I’m only 20.

- Did you talk about your transfer with other Belarusan players, who used to feature for FC Dynamo Kyiv?

- I did. They all say it’s a great chance I must use. FC Dynamo Kyiv are club with traditions. The choice was obvious.

- Are you acquainted with any FC Dynamo Kyiv players?

- I’m not, but I guess we’ll get acquainted soon.

- Some people call you new Khatskevych…

- It’s nice to hear that, but I don’t think such comparison is appropriate. I must work to make a name for me.

- How hard will adaptation period be? Languages and mentality in Belarus and in Ukraine are very similar.

- I think that will make things easier for me. I’ll try to adapt to the team as quickly as possible.

- What are your expectations of the training camp with the main squad?

- I want to get acquainted with the team and coaching staff and then to start playing and winning.
