On Monday they started taking old one away. This process will last about a week. After that new turf will be brought.
FC Dynamo Kyiv chief agronomist Anatoliy Kolosha has told about this change in detail:
- After the end of the season Dynamo direction decided to change the turf. New pitch must be of the best possible quality as next season Dynamo U-19 will perform in the UEFA Youth League here. On Monday we started taking old turf away.
It’s being taken to Koncha-Zaspa, where we’ll use it for raining ground #8. Partially it will be used for needs of Dynamo football school.
Later we’ll take 5-6 cm of top soil away. Then we’ll level the surface with sand. After that we’ll put the new turf. The grass has been grown in Kyiv region, it the village of Borshchiv.
If the weather is fine we’ll finish by mid-July.
