Trip to north
As the White-Blues arrived in the capital of KomiRepublic the temperature was 20 degrees below zero which is considered to be rather warm for Syktyvkar.
Anyway they organized very hearty welcome for Kyivans.
To be friends with everyone
A lot of KomiRepublic citizens have Ukrainian heritage, so they often asked the White-Blues about the political situation in our country. Thus Kyivans played the role of folk diplomats. Volodymyr Bessonov stated that Ukrainians just want to live in a free country and to have friendly relations with other states.
On February 23 Ivan Yaremchuk, Viktor Khlus, Oleh Salenko, Serhiy Kuznetsov, Sviatoslav Syrota, Olexandr Pryzetko and Olexandr Radchenko held a master class for trainees of local football schools.
Kyivans also signed a lot of Dynamo stuff for kids.
Volodymyr Bessonov’s special mission
Volodymyr Bessonov and famous Russian commentator Gennady Orlov have visited local gymnasium.
They answered different questions asked by students.
Ten goals at halves
Eventually Kyivans played friendly against KomiRepublic pro veterans. The match started with moment of silence in commemoration of people who died in Ukraine during protest movements.
As for the game itself, it ended in a draw – 5:5. After that home side won the penalty shootout.
Top-level support
After the final whistle there was an extemporary autograph signing session. Very popular among local fans was Oleh Salenko who was born in St. Petersburg.
Special guest of the match was the head of KomiRepublicViacheslav Gaizer.
Back home in good mood
On their way home Kyivans had to change planes in Moscow. At the airport they met famous Ukrainian comedians Volodymyr Danylets and Volodymyr Moiseenko. These men lift spirits easily!
