Niko KRANJCAR: “I hope I’ll be able to play next month”

Fortunately the injury turned out to be not very serious and Niko is finishing his rehabilitation.

- I injured my knee playing for Croatia. At first I didn’t feel any serious problem so I played for 30 minutes more in that match.

- What happened next?

- After the game I had a medical examination. Then I returned to Kyiv. Doctors stated that I would have to miss six weeks.

- What did you do during this period of time?

- I spent ten days in Zagreb and then I went to Kyiv. I went through different rehabilitation exercises. Then is started working with our physical trainer Vincenzo Pincolini. In a couple of weeks I’ll start training with the rest of the team.

- So you still have a chance help your team this season?

- I hope so. I’ll do whatever it takes to take the field this season.

- Do you hope to be called-up to Croatia national team in June?

- I must realize myself what my conditions are. If I won’t be able to help Croatia, I’ll inform our coach.

- Will you be able to regain your conditions till the end of May?

- It’s difficult to regain physical conditions in such a short period of time. First of all I must start playing to feel more confident.

- Have you already adapted to Dynamo and to Kyiv?

- Of course my native city is Zagreb. But I like Kyiv. I already understand your language. It’s very beautiful and comfortable here.
