- Did Dynamo aim for winning the Cup Winners’ Cup that year?
- Actually we didn’t. The year 1975 was just the follow-up of the year 1974. We won the Soviet Top League and the USSR Cup. As for the Cup Winners’ Cup, we didn’t state we would defeat everyone in this competition, but I’m sure every performer wanted to succeed in the final.
- Which opponent impressed you the most?
- PSV Eindhoven looked really impressively. We had a difficult away game against Dutch side. We lost 1:2 after 3:0 home win! Anyway there were no pushovers.
- Don’t you think a lot of players from that Dynamo squad could become key performers in leading European leagues?
- I guess the majority of Dynamo performers could find their place in Europe. Statistics proves that. I think our guys could cost a lot on transfer market. The thing is that we didn’t even think of anything like that back then. Value of 1975 wins wasn’t measured by money.
