Dynamo’s summer signing Brown Ideye marked his debut for the club with two goals and one assist as the White-Blues defeated Ukrainian Premier League newcomers PFC Oleksandriya 3-1 on Matchday 2.
After a scoreless first period, the visitors took control of the game and Andriy Yarmolenko opened the scoring with a precise finish from Ideye's pass in the 54th minute. Shortly afterwards the 22-year-old Nigerian striker doubled Dynamo's advantage. He half-stopped a pass from Goran Popov with his right foot before swivelling to send the bal into the net with his left foot.
Oleksandriya defender Andriy Zaporozhan gave the hosts a lifeline with a goal midway through the second half, but Ideye wrapped up the memorable victory in the 80th minute with his second goal of the match.
