For Metalist it was a leadership test and for Dynamo – a good chance to return to the battle for Premiership. Comparing to the last UPL game against FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk Oleh Blokhin made two substitutions in the starting line-up. Miguel and Roman Bezus took the field instead of Lukman Haruna and Younes Belhanda.
Game aspects
Both sides started the game very carefully. Speaking about Dynamo tactical scheme, it was noticeable that the White-Blues laid emphasis on flank attacks. Benoit Tremoulinas and Jeremain Lens were very active, while Oleh Husiev and Andriy Yarmolenko played not effectively enough. Bezus was the only one who tried to demonstrate some creativity. Crosses into Metalist penalty area weren’t a problem for Kharkiv side defenders. Two minutes before the break Markevych’s men opened the score. Ksionz put a low cross into Dynamo six-yard box and Xavier hit the target.
Kyivans started the second half with attacks, but creative actions were difficult for them. Metalist looked more orderly, though they had four newcomers in their squad. In the stoppage time they scored two more goals. At first Sosa eluded two defenders and hit the far corner and then Marlos unleashed a perfect shot.
Thus Dynamo stay in the sixth place of UPL tournament bracket. Metalist have a lead of nine points.

Sosa’s goal was very important, but special attention should be paid to Dynamo tame attacking actions.

Despite the defeat it was a good game for Dynamo left back Benoit Tremoulinas.
