Former Shakhtar Donetsk players congratulated him and gladdened spectators who came to Dynamo Stadium named after Valeriy Lobanovskyi with a friendly match. Still first of all participants of the game laid flowers to Lobanovskyi’s memorial.
After that Dynamo Fan-club chief Serhiy Mykhailenko bestowed Leonid Buriak a special scarf. Andriy Biba recalled how he came to Odesa to persuade Buriak’s parents to let their son move to Kyiv many years ago.
Later Leonid Buriak accepted presents and congratulations.
The hero of the day stated:
- I’m thankful to FC Dynamo Kyiv for my achievements. Together with my teammates I did my best to glorify this club.
Once I had transfer offers from Dynamo Moscow and Spartak Moscow, but I rejected them as I admired Kyivans. Today I have gathered people who are one big Dynamo family. I’m glad to see all my guests. Thanks a lot to those who organized this celebration.
After that spectators enjoyed the friendly match.
The top person of the game was Serhiy Rebrov who started his career in Shakhtar Donetsk and resumed it in Dynamo Kyiv.
He made a hat trick and the White-Blues won the match 4:2.
Still the score didn’t matter as it was a great Dynamo festal day!
