This 25-year-old defender comes from Algerian family and has eight brothers and two sisters. They say such top clubs as Real Madrid CF, Chelsea FC and Arsenal FC were willing to sign him when the transfer window was open. Still despite worthy transfer offers the player (height – 188 cm, weight – 80 kg) didn’t leave Napoli.
He featured for AS Saint-Etienne till 2014 and then joined Italian side. In 2013 he won the French League Cup.
Performing for Napoli Ghoulam has already won the Italian Cup and Super Cup.
In 2014/15 season Faouzi reached the Europa League final with Napoli, but his team didn’t manage to outplay FC Dnipro.
In 2014 the left back took part in the World Cup with Algeria national taem.
Last season Ghoulam made 32 appearances in Serie A and helped Napoli qualify for the Champions League.
