That happened almost three years ago, on September 19, as Belgian side defeated FC Dynamo Kyiv unexpectedly in the Europa League fixture – 1:0. Genk won the return match too – 3:1. Koulibaly was one of the best performers in both games.
He covered the way from FC Metz to four-year contract with SSC Napoli in four seasons. In 2012/13 Koulibaly won the Belgian Cup with Genk which was his first title.
In 2014 Senegalese player born in France won the Italian Super Cup with Napoli.
This is the third season in Italy for 25-year-old centre back (height – 195 cm, weight – 89 kg). He’s already made 62 appearances in Serie A and scored one goal.
Koulibaly’s strengths are ability to choose proper position and head-playing. Current Champions League campaign will be new challenge for him.
