This team presents the town located in autonomous community of Andalusia. According to nose count conducted in 2010 Algeciras population is a bit more than 116 thousand citizens. Still this is the biggest seaport of Southern Spain.
In 2012 Algeciras CF celebrated 100th anniversary. Their most significant achievement is Segunda bronze in 1965/1966 season. Twice they reached Copa del Rey round of 32 (2003/2004 and 2013/2014 seasons) and were outplayed by Primera clubs – Villarreal CF and Real Sociedad.
Last season Algeciras relegated to Tercera Division. 361 teams take part in this competition (18 groups). At the moment they are among group 10 leaders with 64 points after 26 matchdays (out of 42).
The head coach of the team is 42-year-old Manolo Sanlucar. Home arena of the club is called Estadio Nuevo Mirador. It has a capacity for 7 200 spectators.
The forthcoming game will take place in Algeciras (more than 80 km far from Marbella). The match will start at 20:00 (Kyiv time). One ticket will cost 5 euro.
