- What’s your plan for tomorrow – to aim for a draw or to try to win?
- Of course we want to win, but tomorrow we’ll see two teams with different philosophy, resources and ideas. Dynamo had been absent in the Champions League for quite a while and I want the upcoming game to boost progress of the club.
- Do you count on Sydorchuk?
- Serhiy hasn’t had a single training session with the team yet. He was tested negative for the COVID-19 only yesterday. After medical examination he’ll get back to work.
It’s very difficult to step back into ranks after this disease. Last week seven players got well and six of them played against Inhulets. The thing is that they come back very weak. Thus we need to change the training process. I had to oil the wheels a bit as I need these players, but if someone isn’t ready, we’ll have to replace him.
As for Sydorchuk and Tsyhankov, they were tested negative for the virus only yesterday. In a best-case scenario, Viktor will be getting ready for Saturday game. Serhiy is suspended.
- Whose absence is more significant – Messi’s or de Jong’s?
- Barcelona are Barcelona. Of course the presence of Messi is always an advantage, but as far as he’s absent Barcelona will probably do better in terms of defense. No one features for this team accidentally. They spend big money for transfers, which means that all performers are high profile. Besides they have talented youngsters.
- Who’ll play as Dynamo striker tomorrow?
- I’ll decide tomorrow. We still have 13 players, who featured against Inhulets.
- Did you watch Barcelona Sunday game against Atletico. Don’t you plan to use Diego Simeone’s tactics?
- We’re talking about different teams. Atletico payed 126 million euro for the last player they signed. Diego Simeone has been working with this team for almost 10 years. They started spending as much money as Manchester City and Barcelona, built ultramodern stadium. Now they want to make another step and be the best. The club has a good plan. They’re gradually moving to the top.
