Roman Eremenko: "It was a very good season"

Finnish midfielder Roman EREMENKO, who has recently signed a five-year deal with FC Dynamo Kyiv, shared with the club's official website his impressions of the season’s last match against Shakhtar and told about his future plans.

- Despite the fact that it was not a decisive match, we were very happy to overcome Shakhtar Donetsk and wanted to dedicate this victory to our coach and supporters. Moreover, it was the last match of the season and we were playing against UEFA Cup holders.

- Are you upset that Semin leaves the club?

- Sure, I am very upset about that. Yuriy Semin is a very good coach. Besides, he was the person, who brought me to Dynamo Kyiv. As for Gazzaev, I have heard a lot about this expert. He had been coaching PFC CSKA Moskva for many years. This club achieved great result with this coach and even won the UEFA Cup.

- What are your summer vacation plans?

- I’m going to train with the national team, as we are to play two qualifying matches. After that I will try to get some rest.

- How would you describe this season?

- Actually, we've had a very good year. The team have won the Ukrainian Championship and reached the UEFA Cup semi-final. I think, nobody expected us to achieve such results, even though we had good chance to reach the final.
