Serhiy REBROV: “We’ve let Manchester City use their strengths”

- We must admit that unfortunately we’ve lost deservedly. Our mistakes have let ManchesterCity use their strengths. In the first half we conceded twice, but after the break came out of shell and scored. Anyway I think we’ve got good experience.

- Why did you substitute Harmash and why did each striker play for 45 minutes?

- Denys is a good guy, but he has his own vision of football. Losing the ball he let City have counterattacks. It was hard for me to substitute him knowing his character, but I had no choice. Denys must understand that his task is to benefit the team.

As for Teodorczyk, he got the starting spot, but didn’t feel the game. Moraes picked up quite serious injury at the training camp and wasn’t ready to play for 90 minutes.

- Ukrainian teams often fail in euro cups after winter break. Coaches say that’s because of lack of game practice…

- Today we faced really serious opponent. After they had some counterattacks early in the first half we lost confidence. As for long winter break, there’s nothing we can do about that. We performed against one of the best teams in Europe. You all know City attacking potential. It’s not right to say we’ve lost only because of long break.

- What did you lack to score the second goal?

- We lack experience of top level matches. We had chances to score the second goal, but no one used them. I’m glad we attacked and crated scoring opportunities.

- Has Andriy Yarmolenko coped with his duties?

- We’ve lost, so no one has coped with his duties. Yarmolenko did his best for the team, especially in the second half. He was 100% ready for the game. Anyway if I had more substitutions I would have replaced him 15-20 minutes before the time. I hope Andriy won’t suffer injuries anymore.

- Why didn’t Serhiy Sydorchuk take the field?

- He missed the first training camp. The same can be said about Yakovenko.
