Serhiy REBROV: “We must forget this match and get ready for the game against Chelsea”

- I congratulate Shakhtar on deserved victory. We haven’t fulfilled the game plan. Shakhtar scored their goals after counterattacks. This is their main weapon. I want to apologize to our supporters. We are all upset. Still tomorrow we must forget this terrible match and start getting ready for the game against Chelsea FC. Nothing horrible has happened in the UPL for us. We have the same number of points as Shakhtar.

- It’s been a while since one team had such serious advantage in Dynamo matches against Shakhtar. Have Shakhtar surprised you in some way?

- I don’t think Shakhtar had great advantage, especially in the first half. After second goal we rushed forward and missed a lot of counterattacks. We lacked our key midfielder – Serhiy Rybalka. He was aggressive and acted intensively. Shakhtar really dominated in the midfield.

- Don’t you think Dynamo have lost as Shakhtar players were faster?

- It’s not a secret that Shakhtar have fast attacking players. We warned our performers, but sometimes it’s difficult to focus on the field. When players lose confidence and concentration they also lose mutual understanding. Anyway it’s difficult to analyze that at the moment.

- When Harmash and Sydorchuk obtained the ball they usually looked for Yarmolenko. Don’t you think the team depends upon Andriy too much and the left flank wasn’t effective?

- Oleh also attacked a lot in the first half. Harmash didn’t look for Yarmolenko all the time. Sydorchuk did, but they have good mutual understanding and I know that. It’s not that bad. Still when Andriy obtained the ball he didn’t have space. When he had it he created chances.

- This game was like one of those matches at Donbas-Arena when Dynamo conceded one goal at first and then more after counterattacks. Why were Yevhen Khacheridi and Serhiy Rybalka absent?

- Rybalka is injured, so he wasn’t on players’ list. We hope he’ll recover by the game against Chelsea. As for Khacheridi… We have enough high profile defenders. Dragovic features for Austria national team and Vida – for Croatia. If Khacheridi really wants to struggle for starting spot I hope he’ll start doing this after this game. Yevhen really has great potential, but he must be willing to play.

- It seems that something is really wrong with Khacheridi. Could you please clarify this situation?

- We don’t have a conflict. As I’ve already said, almost all Dynamo players feature for national teams. Khacheridi has faced fierce competition. Each performer must prove he’s the best at every training session.
