He came to Spain with the team and worked individually at first. On January 14 he had surgery in Barcelona. The White-Blues doctor Leonid Myronov has told about that:
- Serhiy’s surgery was performed at professor Ramon Cugat’s clinic in Barcelona. Fractures were comminuted. It was decided to put metal bracings on each finger. They can be removed in eight-nine months if Serhiy wants, but that’s not necessary.
The surgery was long, but successful. It finished at about half past two in the morning and was performed by three great surgeons.
Serhiy will spend five more days at the clinic after which we’ll rejoin the team. Still he can start jogging only in two weeks.
