Yuriy Vaks has been chosen to referee the 2011 Ukrainian Super Cup match between Dynamo Kyiv and Shakhtar Donetsk in Poltava on Tuesday, July 5. He will be accompanied by assistant referees Volodymyr Volodin (Kherson), Serhiy Bekker (Kharkiv) and fourth official Viktor Shvetsov (Odesa). Their work will be assessed by FFU referee observer Ihor Khiblin (Khmelnytskyi).
The 35-year-old referee, who took up refereeing in 1996, reached the professional level in 2002 and was assigned his first Premier League game in 2007.
Vaks has refereed Dynamo thrice last season. Those games were a 1-3 defeat to Vorskla Poltava on Matchday 6, a 1-0 home win over Karpaty Lviv on Matchday 13 and a 2-0 away win over Metalurh Donetsk on Matchday 20.
The match will kick off at 21.00 pm.
