- What was the game plan for the match against Malmö?
- We wanted to see players’ conditions. The first half looked like a chess match, because after being dispossessed both sides rushed back.
Malmö had three centre backs and when we attacked they had nine players defending, so it was hard to find space.
After the break we got more aggressive. There were good chances both after side attacks and when we attacked through the center. Both sides played carefully as on Thursday we’ll all feature in the Europa League.
- What do you think of Alibekov as centre back?
- He makes some mistakes, but starting our attacks he’s quite confident.
- Comparing with games against Östersund and Malmö, this one was more attacking. Did you have different game plan?
- No, it was the same. We need to focus on certain aspects, because, for example, we had some good opportunities to switch from defense to attack, but failed to find players with straight pass.
- Are you satisfied with your opponents at the training camp?
- First of all I’d like to thank Christian, who’s been working with our team for 22 years already arranging our training camps. Everything was great and our opponents were really worthy teams.
- Is it important to win these friendlies?
- Sure, victories give the team positive emotions. When you play for Dynamo Kyiv, even a draw in a friendly is equal to defeat. Today we’ve won, so we finish friendlies cycle in a good mood.
