- Valentyn always stayed calm during the game even though sometimes it was necessary to yell at someone. He explained everything very rationally. Still I know that he always cared about the result and gave way to his feelings when Dynamo U-19 won the U-19 League.
When I think of Valentyn I recall not victories against European top clubs, but our childhood. Tournament in Riga, South American tour with Dinamo Minsk… That trip was a real carnival.
Later Belkevych became Dynamo Kyiv skipper though such clubs as Liverpool, Southampton Espanyol and Real Socieded spotted him. Still I guess he didn’t want to change anything.
Valentyn’s death is the greatest loss in my life. We knew each other since childhood. It was very hard to watch the casket closed…
