Ukraine faced Morocco in the second game of the 2024 Olympic Games football tournament.
In the first match our team lost against Iraq (1:2) while Morocco beat Argentina (2:1).
This time three FC Dynamo Kyiv performers were in Ukraine starting lineup as well – Maksym Braharu, Mykola Mykhailenko and Valentyn Rubchynskyi.
The Yellow-Blues opened the score in the 22nd minute as Kryskiv hit the target after assist from Braharu.
63 minutes into the match referee awarded penalty for Morocco and sent Saliuk off. Rahimi converted from the spot.
Ukraine grabbed the winner in a stoppage time. Rubchynskyi intercepted, found Krasnopir, joined the attack himself and performed pre-assist while Krasnopir scored – 2:1.
