Pavlo Yakovenko's team continue their preparations for the 2011 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualification. On Friday, October 10, Ukraine U-21 held a home friendly match against their coevals from the Netherlands. The game ended in a goalless draw. Despite creating a number of scoring opportunities, the Ukrainian team failed to take advantage of their opponents. However, this result can be considered as a positive one.

Dynamo players Volodymyr Lysenko (currently on loan at FC Arsenal Kyiv) and Artem Kravets spent the whole match on the pitch. Another Dynamo midfielder Mykola Morozyuk was fielded after the interval.

Pavlo YAKOVENKO, Ukraine U-21 head coach:

- I think the whole team played well – the eleven players who started and the substitutes. Everyone worked during the whole game. That is why I don’t have any complaints about my players’ actions.

- Some players won’t go to Portugal. Can you name them?

- We haven’t decided that yet.

Friendly game.
