UPL. Matchday 11. Dnipro – Dynamo. Preview

Dynamo: return to victorious path

It will be the second game for the White-Blues this week. On October 28 Kyivans defeated FC Karpaty Lviv within the Ukrainian Cup round of 16 second leg (1:0).

Despite injuries of several main squad players Serhiy Rebrov has enough performers to create competing in the team. The only problem is the lack of left back. In the previous match Domagoj Vida featured on this position while Mykyta Burda was a right lateral.

Nine Dynamo performers took the field in every UPL fixture this season – Aleksandar Dragovic, Danilo Silva, Younes Belhanda, Andriy Yarmolenko and Artem Kravets.

The latter is the best striker of our team with six goals to his name.

Leaders in number of assists are Lens and Yarmolenko (three each).

Dnipro: plans for Premiership

This season Dnipro didn’t managed to win only one game. It was the UPL matchday 5 fixture against FC Vorskla Poltava (1:1). Still they haven’t faced main competitors in battle for Premiership yet. In the forthcoming match they’ll oppose FC Dynamo Kyiv and after that – FC Shakhtar Donetsk.

Dnipro keep participating in three competitions, just like Dynamo, but results they demonstrate in the Europa League aren’t impressive.

On October 27 Dnipropetrovsk side flattened FC Volyn Lutsk within the Ukrainian Cup round of 16 second leg – 4:0.

Anyway according to the head coach of the team Myron Markevych the main priority of the club is the Ukrainian Premier League.

As Matheus will rejoin the team only in spring, today Dnipro major weapon is Nikola Kalinić.

This season Denys Boiko, Bruno Gama and Nikola Kalinić took the field in every UPL match.

Kalinić is also the best striker of the team (6 goals).

Leaders in number of assists are Serhiy Kravchenko and Ruslan Rotan (three each).
