Dynamo: when every match is the most important
After defeat against FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk Kyivans got back on winning track as they were victorious over FC Metalist Kharkiv.
Away fixture against Karpaty will be a preliminary to long-awaited match against FC Shakhtar Donetsk. Still it doesn’t down-grade the importance of the game in Lviv and players understand that.
According to Andriy Yarmolenko Kyivans don’t have a right for mistake in every match left till the end of the season.
Dynamo skipper Olexandr Shovkovskyi has stated: “We must move from match to match. The outcome of every game is of great importance to us. Every following fixture is the most important”.
Oleh Blokhin is likely to have even more difficulties with squad matters in Lviv than he had as the White-Blues defeated Metalist in Kyiv.
Centre backs Yevhen Khacheridi and Aleksandar Dragovic keep recovering from injuries. Coaching staff can’t count upon Ognjen Vukojevic, who was sent off in the previous match.
It’s questionable whether Brown Ideye will take the field as he has problems with his heel. Still there’s also good news: Oleh Husiev has got back to training sessions.
Younes Belhanda won’t feature against Karpaty because of suspension.
Karpaty: to regain confidence
FC Karpaty Lviv have won only one match and lost three in the second part of current season.
In the previous game Olexandr Sevydov’s men suffered 3:0 defeat against FC Shakhtar Donetsk away. After the match the Green-White head coach was upset, but not surprised with final score.
At the moment Karpaty are 10th in the UPL standings (W-5, D-7, L-8).
It’s well-known that Lviv side can offer any team battle at their home arena. Still this season they’ve already lost five home matches.
During the winter break Karpaty signed halfback Yuriy Habovda and strikers Mykhailo Serhiychuk and Leonid Koval, who eventually joined the team despite the scandal between the club and Premier League.
