UPL. Matchday 26. Dynamo – Dnipro – 2:0

Both sides had optimal squads but for Dnipro midfielder Giuliano who missed the game because of injury.

Dynamo defender Yevhen Khacheridi took the field again after three-match suspension.

Game aspects

Kyivans managed to score early in the game. 9 minutes into the match Lukman Haruna netted the goal in one on one situation after Veloso’s assist.

After that Dynamo started playing less actively but still the White and Blues had some goal-scoring opportunities.

Dnipro halfback Ruslan Rotan tried to score from distance but Dynamo keeper Maxym Koval cleared the ball off. Several minutes before the half time Matheus had an opportunity to score from the box but Koval demonstrated his skills again. Away side played actively but Dynamo managed to score after a counterattack right before the break! Brown Ideye passed the ball to Yarmolenko from the right flank. Andriy assisted Lukman Haruna who scored his second goal of the game!

In the second half Juande Ramos substituted the left back Ivan Strinic with another striker Yevhen Selezniov. But despite that Kyivans played confidently for defense.

56 minutes into the game Roman Bezus took the field instead of Lukman Haruna.

Almost half an hour before the time referee Anatoliy Zhabchenko booked Yarmolenko and Harmash and then he sent Oleh Blokhin off.

75 minutes into the match Dnipro defender Vitaliy Mandziuk fouled against Andriy Yarmolenko and got the second yellow card.

Dynamo managed to use the numerical advantage. 2:0 is the final score!

Key episode

Of course Haruna’s second goal was of great importance.

But we also would like to mention that Oleh Blokhin’s suspension was a blow under the belt from Anatoliy Zhabchenko.

Top person

Lukman Haruna is a player who scored twice, but Maxym Koval has also made a great contribution into this win.
