Mykhailo Fomenko became the new head coach of our national team. He chose Volodymyr Onyshchenko and Olexandr Zavarov as his assistants.
Two minutes into the game Yarmolenko netted the first goal of the match and fife minutes later Husiev doubled the score. Right before the break Yarmolenko assisted Zozulia who scored the third goal for Ukraine.

The win in Podgorica was vital for Ukraine.
11 minutes after the break Montenegro keeper parried Yarmolenko’s long-range shot and Harmash, who grabbed the ball, opened the score. After that Yarmolenko assisted Konoplianka and Fedetskyi who scored one goal each. Eventually Bezus scored in the stoppage time.
