He was born on April 4 1939 in Kyiv and started his career in the team called Iskra. Later he joined FC Dynamo Kyiv second squad.
Serhiy Bohachyk used to feature alongside such famous players as Lobanovskyi, Biba, Bazylevych and Balakin.
After the end or his career he was a professor at Kyiv Institute of Food Industry and developed football at this educational establishment.
