- Vitaliy, you finish the training session in a good mood. Have you done a good job?
- Sure, today we had a pre-match session. I and Nazariy Rusyn competed in scoring and I’ve won, so now he owes me 10 chocolate bars (laughing).
- Do you have muscle fever?
- I don’t know a single player, who likes training camps after vacation (smiling). The first week was especially tough.
- You also played mini-squares today. What was this exercise about?
- Well, two fours are in possession, two players get into the square and try to dispossess them.
- How difficult is that?
- It’s easier to dispossess opponents as the square is small.
- You’ve got a group of youngsters in the team. How did you greet them?
- Very warmly! They haven’t sung a song yet, but they will.
- Which stage of the training camp is the most difficult to you?
- I guess first days are the most difficult as we get significant exercise load and do different tests.
- It seems you like to run?
- It’s an illusion (smiling).
- It’s obvious you’re good friends with Nazariy Rusyn?
- It’s been just a week since he came back, so I haven’t got tired of him yet (smiling). Actually we’re roommates.
- Have you already felt the game rhythm? Tomorrow you’ll have the first friendly.
- After vacation, in Kyiv, we were mostly running and now we work on different combinations with the ball.
- You’ll have six friendlies at the first training camp. Is this god for you?
- Such games also help us to recondition. Of course at first each of us will get limited amount of game practice. I guess at the second training camp we’ll play more.
- How fierce is the competition for starting spot?
- Competition is vital in any kind of sports and in any profession. If you don’t do your job properly, there’s someone to replace you. That’s what it’s all about.
- How much energy does average training session consume? Maybe you even lose weight?
- My weight doesn’t change significantly. But as for the appetite, if we have two sessions a day, in the evening we’re very hungry.
