Dynamo football school trainees play first friendlies in Germany

Three groups of FC Dynamo Kyiv football academy – U14, U15 and U16 – who’ve been training in Germany for a couple of weeks already, have played their first friendlies. As you know, our boys were invited by FC Köln, who gave them the opportunity to practice and play against leading German academies. In Germany, guys work under the charge of coaches Yuriy Yastrebinskyi, Yuriy Dmytrulin, Yevhen Lozynskyi, Mykola Ishchenko, Maxym Kozliuk, Volodymyr Ikonnikov and Olexandr Honcharov.

On Wednesday, which was the Ukrainian Independence Day, Kyivans played friendlies against FC Siegen. Although there are three Dynamo age groups in Germany, their lineups aren’t complete yet, so two friendlies were played with mixed squads. One team – players born in 2009 and 2008 while another – 2008 and 2007.

Both games were quite interesting. Our kids, who haven’t played official matches for half a year already, were happy to take the field. By the way, early in the first match three German boys featured for Dynamo as they wanted to support their Ukrainian colleagues.
