- That was really long ago, so it’s difficult to recall everything in detail… As we were true USSR patriots reputation of the country and club was above all for us. We dedicated our victories to the Second World War veterans. My father and grandfather were soldiers and of course they were pleased with our wins.
- Which 1975 game do you recall most often?
- I guess those are our matches against PSV Eindhoven. They had six of eight World Cup triumphants in their squad.
- Today players have the best equipment for reconditioning after matches, so it’s not surprising that they are able to feature in the same manner twice or three times a week. How did you recondition considering the lack of such technologies?
- Who told you we didn’t have modern technologies? We had different medical procedures, massages and even oxygen chamber! We also had great doctor – Viktor Berkovskyi.
