We congratulate the hero of the day and wish him good health, family wellbeing and realization of his plans!
Horilyi was born in Zaporizhia, but then moved to Crimea and started his career there featuring for FC Tavria Simferopol. In 1984 he was drafted into forces, but due to Valeriy Lobanovskyi he did military service for only 12 days and then joined FC Dynamo Kyiv.
Horilyi made 58 appearances for the White-Blues in Soviet Top League and scored one goal. In 1986 and 1987 he won the domestic league and USSR Cup with Kyivans.
Later Horilyi performed for FC Zenit St.Petersburg, FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk and Hapoel Haifa FC. He also made three appearances for Ukraine national team.
In 2013 he took charge of Ukraine U-20.
