Volyn – Dynamo – 1:2. Match report

Dynamo Kyiv took three points from their Ukrainian Premier League Matchday 14 clash against FC Volyn in Lutsk on Sunday after an Andriy Yarmolenko brace secured a 2-1 victory.

Oleh Luzhnyy’s side arrived to Lutsk without Nesmachnyy, Popov, Ninković, Magrão, Guilherme, Shovkovskyy and captain Andriy Shevchenko, as all of them were ruled out with injuries.

The match started perfectly for the visitors as they opened the scoring as early as the third minute through forward Andriy Yarmolenko. Six minutes later, it became 2-0. El Kaddouri touched the ball on to Artem Milevskyy, who sent a pass to Yarmolenko and the striker fired a right-foot shot low into the corner of the net.

Volyn improved after the break and grabbed a goal back in the 51st minute after Ihor Skoba headed in a corner. The hosts continued to press and could have equalized late in the second half, but Dynamo defenders and goalkeeper managed to preserve their lead.
