- As for the match against FC Metalurh Zaporizhia, we totally controlled the game and had to win. We choose tactics considering our opponents.
We all must be patient. We should wait till players calm down and start perceiving the game not from emotional, but from intellectual point of view. Today there’s much haste in their actions.
Makarenko, Buialskyi and Miakushko went through that. I’m glad Miakushko helped Dynamo to defeat FC Chornomorets Odesa.
I’ve been using my own methods my whole life and I know that after failures youngsters can retire into shell. Of course we’ll help them cope with that.
Anyway I have no serious claims to anyone.
- Did Orest Kuzyk earn the starting spot due to his successful substitute appearance in the match against FC Vorskla Poltava?
- Kuzyk is honest and well-bread guy with good sense of humor. He resembles me Miakushko and I use him on the same position. He has good dribbling, but has problems when he has to dispossess opponents. Still Kuzyk grasps everything in a single flash and makes headway. Anyway one must be patient. He should work at least for a year here. I’ll believe in him as I believe in other performers.
- Pavlo Polehenko wasn’t on players’ list in the last game. What can you tell about him?
- Doctors didn’t let him play. We have no problems with him, but it’s a bit difficult for him to earn starting spot as his competitors are Liulka, Khoblenko and Hemeha. Pavlo must find his own place. If Polehenko plays as Kuzyk, he will take the field. I think he should deal with some psychological problems. When he’s not in the starting lineup he’s disappointed. That’s wrong. He should have moral courage.
It’s great these performers are familiar with FC Dynamo Kyiv system, but I also want to teach players forward-looking thinking. They must render decisions before they get the ball. I want them to know all aspects of the game. I don’t show them what they’ve already learned in Dynamo.
We have a lot of promising performers and it’s all in their hands. I’m sure Dynamo will have great future if these talented Ukrainians work hard. Still first of all they must be leaders here.
