- First of all, congratulations to Shakhtar. They deserved to win. It was a true Cup final, nerve-wracking and unforeseeable. Why did we lose? We committed a number of serious, oftentimes silly, mistakes. After several played had been sent off, we had plenty of opportunities to level off. It just must have been not our lucky night.
- The replacement you made after the break revamped your initial formation. Does this mean you were wrong in picking the starting XI?
- I would not put it that way. Marković, despite having made a childish mistake tonight, has been a regular in latest games in which he did quite well. After the first half we were losing 1-0 and changes, therefore, had to be made.
- Were the red cards fairly awarded?
- The game was a difficult one for match officials to referee as the teams played on the brink of fouls. I do not think the offences, however, were intentional and neither team wanted to injure their opponents. Anyway, it was a tough football that we saw. Which is no surprise as everybody wants to win a decider.
- Is Shovkovskyy to be blamed for the second conceded goal?
- We will have to watch the video replays, which will show whose fault it was. This, however, will be done within the team.
- Did the team do better defensively or offensively?
- Our attacking attempts were not sufficient. The defense performedstrongly, except for the two moments when the two goals arrived.
