Favorit Sport company and FC Dynamo Kyiv invited media to follow the drawing with the White-Blues head coach Olexandr Khatskevych, midfielder Vitaliy Buialskyi, legend of the club and our scout Olexandr Zavarov and vice president of the club Olexiy Semenenko.
On behalf of the club Olexiy Semenenko made a present for Favorit Sport representatives – rare copy of the book called “The team of his dream” published in tribute to the 60th anniversary of Dynamo president Ihor Surkis.
When moderator of the event journalist Roman Bebekh asked the White-Blues coach Olexandr Khatskevych whom he would like to oppose at this Europa League stage, our gaffer said he preferred a team from northern country, which also has long winter break in domestic league.
Vitaliy Buialskyi said he wanted to face SS Lazio again to gain revenge for defeat our team suffered last year.
As it turned out, FC Dynamo Kyiv would oppose Greek side Olympiacos FC at this stage.
“We already know the route to Greece as last season after the winter training camp we went to Athens to face AEK. So, we know where we’ll live, where we’ll play etc. Now we need to have a good rest, get ready and gather all the necessary information about Olympiacos. As far as I know, they’re not in their best conditions now, although this is the team with good history and things won’t be easy for us, especially in Greece”, — said Olexandr Khatskevych.
“I’m satisfied with the drawing. Olympiacos are athletic team, so we need to keep the ball on the ground”, — stated Vitaliy Buialskyi.
“We must take Olympiacos really seriously. The second leg will take place in Kyiv and Greeks don’t like cold weather, so everything should be fine. We must go through first games after winter break and then the team will recondition”, — said Olexandr Zavarov.
