- Can you define main reason for finishing fourth in the UPL last season?
- If I start analyzing everything I’ll definitely offend someone and I don’t want that. I just hope that everything will change next season and we’ll win the UPL. Triumph in the Ukrainian Cup gave us optimism, just like the appointment of new head coach. There’s no use looking for those, who are to be blamed for the failure. That’s everyone’s fault. I’m talking about players, coaching staff and president of the club.
- What was the brightest moment of the season and its biggest disappointment?
- The brightest moment was victory against France at the NSC Olimpiyskyi and the biggest disappointment – defeat in Paris three days later. As for Ukrainian arena, I’d like to point out the triumph in the national cup final and defeat against FC Shakhtar Donetsk in the UPL.
- Changes in Dynamo play became noticeable as Serhiy Rebrov took charge of the team. How did these changes look from inside?
- The training process hasn’t changed a lot. As Serhiy Rebrov took charge of Dynamo he defined aims of training sessions, tactics and squad. Speaking about innovations I can mention that we try to put our opponents under pressure at once when we lose the ball.
- Ihor Surkis has told that players asked him to make Rebrov the head coach. Has president’s decision gladdened you?
- Players don’t choose coaches, but it’s a pleasure that president considers our opinion. Rebrov has been working with the team for several years already and he knows all performers. New person would have needed some time for adaptation.
- The Ukrainian Cup final against Shakhtar was really spectacular. Mircea Lucescu said that those, who needed the victory more, won the game. Do you agree?
- That match was really of great importance for us. I can’t imagine what we would have felt if we lost against Shakhtar once again.
- What team will you be supporting at the World Cup?
- I won’t be supporting anyone. I’ll just enjoy football.
