- Why didn’t you use optimal lineup in the first half?
- I don’t divide players into important and secondary ones. They all need to know what I want them to do on the field. For example our midfielders did a good job against Vorskla and Mariupol. Besides recently we had a tough game against Ferencvarosi. The problem is different – I made two substitutions after the first half and we conceded twice. Rodrigues and Supriaha failed to score. They made wrong decisions. Probably they weren’t focused enough and thought about vacation.
I don’t understand what is VAR for? Why didn’t they use it in the first half when they fouled roughly against Shaparenko? VAR shows only the final contact, but in dynamics things are different.
It’s crazy to get so many red cares in every game due to VAR. The same can be said about red cards of Zabarnyi and Moraes. Such episodes need to be treated differently. VAR doesn’t make things clear.
Selezniov is a very good player, but he knows how to use such situations, how to dive and scream. He managed to trick young inexperienced Mykolenko.
What do these VAR breaks give us? This isn’t football. Such long breaks kill the game tempo. Players have to wait for three-five minutes and wait.
Kolos are good team and they played really well today, but he atmosphere itself… It wasn’t football.
- When Popov fell down after being punched on solar plexus, they didn’t use VAR…
- Referees check VAR whenever they want. Let’s recall our game against Juventus. Referee didn’t even watch the episode when there was a foul against Verbic. I think when Ronaldo scored, there was a foul against Bushchan and offside, but they didn’t use VAR either. It was the 750th goal of Ronaldo…
As for me, it’s better when referees make mistakes, but football remains dynamic.
- Are you going to enforce the team in winter?
- It’s not in my hands. Media say we had 20 Dynamo academy trainees on the Champions League players’ list and we used 16 of them. It’s a record number. It’s great, but we need enforcement. Players need time to reach the level we want. There’re two options: if we’re ready to be patient, we have to wait for another year. If we have no patience, we need to enforce the team at once.
