In case the White-Blues won this match, they would become champions of Ukraine three matchdays before the season finish.
Mircea Lucescu’s men did their best to leave no doubts that they deserve the title. In the 4th minute of the game de Pena put a cross into the box and Zabarnyi headed the ball in. This was his first goal for Dynamo. Ten minutes later Kyivans doubled the score as Besedin hit the target after cross from Shaparenko.
The White-Blues didn’t stop after that. De Pena attempted with a volley, but visitors’ keeper reached the ball. Tsyhankov and Sydorchuk sent the ball over the bar.
Early in the second half Dynamo made it 3:0. Krynskyi performed two saves in a row, but eventually Tsyhankov was there to send the ball into the net.
Later Tsyhankov got the second goal to his name by scoring spectacularly from outside the box. And then Popov headed the ball in after corner – 5:0.
Considering that FC Shakhtar Donetsk have lost against FC Oleksandria (2:0), Dynamo are already 13 points in front, but what really matters is that Kyivans have become champions of Ukraine for the 16th time in their history!
