This time Kyivans featured in their third kit by New Balance and had nine players called up to Ukraine national team in their starting lineup. Although Dynamo have already won the league, Mircea Lucescu used his top performers in this game.
Mariupol were the first to create a scoring chance. In the second minute Boiko had to parry the shot by Bondarenko. Later he cleared the attempt by Topalov.
Dynamo had a great chance 34 minutes into the game. De Pena was right in front of the goal and was supposed to send it in, but Tankovskyi was the first to reach the ball. Mykolenko attempted to use the cross by Tymchyk, but missed.
Early in the second half Dynamo got outnumbered as Carlos de Pena was sent off for the second booking. Despite that Kyivans kept attacking and applying pressure.
Dynamo had two shots on target in the second half. Yevhen Halchuk parried two strikes – by Artem Besedin and Illia Zabarnyi.
Late in the game Kyiv side tried to pull out victory, but failed. So, this is the first time Dynamo lose points this spring.
