Although the game against FC Kolos Kovalivka was technically away one, it was played at the NSC Olimpiyskyi. Comparing with the match against Zoria the White-Blues coach made three substitutions in the starting lineup. Popov, Kadiri and Rusyn replaced Burda, Sydorchuk and Verbic.
Ruslan Kostyshyn’s men started the game by keeping lower profile, but defended orderly, so efforts of Rusyn and Buialskyi weren’t a success.
Still halfway through the first half Kolos also started approaching Dynamo penalty area. Chornomorets put a good cross into the box, but Bushchan was there to clear the ball.
Then home side players unleashed two decent strikes from inside the penalty area, but Bushchan coped with attempts of Morozko and Lysenko. Tsyhankov could put Dynamo in front, but Volynets denied his shot.
Rusyn had a great chance to open the score early in the second half, but Volynets performed incredible save and parried his shot! Then he wasted another chance after pass by de Pena. And then Dynamo conceded. Lysenko performed a good cross and Lysenko headed the ball in from the six-yard-box line – 1:0.
The situation became even worse for Olexiy Mykhailychenko’s men after Shaparenko fouled inside the box and Vilhjalmsson converted from the spot – 2:0. Dynamo could pull one back, but Kolos keeper cleared the shot by Kadiri.
Dynamo were close to finishing third, but FC Zoria Luhansk played in a draw against FC Desna Chernihiv, so the White-Blues have finished second which means they’ll feature in the Champions League qualification.
