Actually the decisive episode happened in the first minute of the game, but still Kyivans had to work hard to preserve their victory, especially considering that they were finishing the match outnumbered.
The first set piece turned into goal. Denys Popov rushed into the box and headed the ball in after cross by Vitaliy Mykolenko from the right side – 1:0!
In a couple of minutes Denys Harmash had a great chance to increase the lead. He attempted in one-one-one situation after Oleksandria defenders’ mistake, but Pankiv coped with his strike.
Actually it’s due to their goalkeeper that visitors didn’t concede more than one goal.
The first time, when Oleksandria crossed the midfield, happened 20 minutes into the game. In that episode Denys Popov tried to clear the ball, but hit Vasyl Hrytsuk after which the ball went near the post.
Late in the first half Sitalo obtained the ball inside Dynamo penalty area and sent it past Bushchan, but fortunately missed.
In the second half Dynamo lacked another goal to salt the game away. Both sides mostly struggled in the midfield for quite a while. Gradually Kyivans started approaching Oleksandria goal, but Pankiv performed confidently.
Late in the game Dynamo got outnumbered. Upon consulting the VAR referee sent Mykola Shaparenko off for a rough tackle against Bezborodko.
Oleksandria rushed forward in a stoppage time, but didn’t manage to seal a draw. Bushchan demonstrated his reaction having parried the header by Stetskov from inside the box.
