After two-week international break, our players rejoined the club and switched to domestic league affairs. The White-Blues, who are on top of the UPL table, came to Oleksandria to get three more points, but the match turned out to be very tough for them.
Dynamo almost opened the score in the 8th minute. For some wonder the ball didn’t cross the goal line after attempts by Karavayev and Buialskyi from inside the box.
Later de Pena sent the ball over the bar in a very promising episode.
In the 14th minute the situation got more complicated for visitors. After cross into Dynamo penalty area, Kovalets found Sitalo, who netted the ball.
Of course Dynamo rushed forward to equalize and scored soon, but Karavayev was flagged offside.
Ten minutes before the break Miroshnichenko handled the ball inside the box after cross by Kedziora and referee awarded penalty. Shaparenko made it 1:1 from the spot.
Later Zabarnyi attempted with a header after cross by de Pena, but Pankiv was there for his team.
The second half started with scrimmage in the midfield, but eventually Dynamo took the situation under control and started creating chances. De Pena missed from the box line, Pankiv parried the strike by Karavayev.
In the 64th minute Karavayev hit the target again after low cross from Mykolenko, but upon checking VAR referee cancelled the goal as Buialskyi was offside.
Dynamo kept attacking while Oleksandria focused on defense and tried to use counterattacks.
Pankiv, who did a great job this night, performed some more saves, but was helpless then Rodrigues took the floor. Gerson, who made substitute appearance late in the game, obtained the ball in the left side, eluded opponent, played a give-and-go with Buialskyi and hit the upper V with a powerful shot.
1:2 – Dynamo come back in Oleksandria and stay 7 points ahead of FC Shakhtar Donetsk in the league table.
