Dynamo approached the game being the league leaders with Shakhtar four points behind while Zoria had undefeated streak consisting of 14 matches!
Comparing with the recent game against Villarreal CF, the White-Blues coach made only one substitution in the starting lineup – Carlos de Pena replaced Gerson Rodrigues.
The teams started the match toe-to-toe. At first de Pena attempted from inside the box and then Allahyar unleashed his shot from outside the box.
After certain activity break, visitors had a chance halfway through the first half. Buialskyi almost had one-on-one opportunity after pass by Tsyhankov, but Zoria keeper cleared the ball.
Meanwhile Zoria had even better chances. Yurchenko missed the target from inside the penalty area and in the 35th minute Bushchan saved Dynamo as he didn’t let Allahyar score in one-on-one situation.
The second half started with Dynamo attacks and after few attempts they succeeded. At first Sydorchuk put a low cross into the box from the right side and Besedin netted the ball. Three minutes later Serhiy scored with a fabulous volley after cross from the corner flag.
Being two goals in front, the White-Blues gave up on possession, but defended orderly and hardly let Zoria create danger. Later they snatch the initiative again. Home side keeper parried the shot by Rodrigues from unpromising angle in one of Dynamo attacks.
Still Zoria didn’t give up. In the 80th minute Bushchan parried the strike by Shahab right in front of him, Hromov was the first to reach the ball, but hit…Shahab’s back.
So, Dynamo win by two goals to nil and stay four points ahead of Shakhtar in the league table.
