Still he’s totally concentrated when he takes the field. It’s very impressive how Nigerian halfback believes in himself and his teammates. In the interview for the White-Blues official web site Haruna has shared his impressions of the training camp and told about his plans for the rest of the season.
- How do you feel at the training camp?
- I fell great. We work hard to be in good conditions by the first game against Valencia CF.
- Do training sessions come easy to you? Don’t you feel fatigue?
- Of course one often feels some soreness at every training camp, but that’s completely natural. We are to be well prepared for the second part of the season.
- Are you always ready to play in severe weather conditions like it was when Dynamo faced Elfsborg?
- Sure, that’s my job! My only condition is to wear my cleats (laughing). I want to play as much as possible. My dream is to always perform for Dynamo and to help this club achieve success.
- Is yo-yo test difficult for you?
- (smiling) We do it at every training camp, so that’s fine. At the weekend I went to France to see my girlfriend and when I rejoined Dynamo I passed yo-yo test.
- You’ve got another competitor for regular starting spot – Serhiy Sydorchuk. How can you estimate his horizons? Is it comfortable for you to play alongside him?
- I think Serhiy is a good player. He is very purposeful. I think no ill of my teammates. It’s up to the head coach who’ll play. Sydorchuk has all necessary qualities to struggle for regular starting spot. He’s waiting for his chance just like I do. I think we both are promising performers as we are young. It’s a great pleasure to feature alongside Veloso, Harmash and Vukojevic. We have no problems with mutual understanding.
- Do you know that Nigeria national team head coach Stehpen Keshi may call you up to play friendly on Match 5?
- I don’t know anything about that yet, so there’s no use discussing this issue right now.
- Still if you get a chance to approve yourself in national team will it be more important for you than Dynamo UPL fixtures against FC Shakhtar Donetsk and FC Chornomorets Odesa?
- Every game is important for me, but I feel that my club must be above all for me at the moment. I believe that if I demonstrate my best qualities featuring for Dynamo I’ll have a chance to be spotted by the national team head coach.
